Genesis 2027 में India आएगी — Hyundai की Luxury Brand जो BMW, Mercedes और Audi को Challenge करेगी : Hyundai ने एक बात confirm कर दी है जिसका India के luxury car lovers को बेसब्री से इंतजार था — Genesis brand 2027 में India में officially launch होगी। यह October 2025 में पहली बार announce हुआ था और अब Hyundai ने इसे reaffirm किया है।
India का luxury car market अभी German brands — BMW, Mercedes-Benz और Audi — के हाथ में है। Volvo और Lexus भी यहां हैं लेकिन छोटे scale पर। Genesis इन सबको एक Korean alternative देगी — और अगर pricing सही रही तो यह genuinely interesting competition होगी।
Genesis है क्या? 
Genesis Hyundai की standalone luxury brand है — 2015 में launch हुई। पहले यह सिर्फ E-segment sedan का नाम था। आज Genesis के पास 6 model lines हैं — G70, G80, G90 (sedans) और GV60, GV70, GV80 (SUVs)। दुनिया भर में 15 लाख से ज्यादा Genesis cars बिक चुकी हैं।
India में कौन से Models आएंगे?
Hyundai ने officially कोई model confirm नहीं किया लेकिन GV70 (D-segment SUV) और GV80 (E-segment SUV) के पहले आने की सबसे ज्यादा उम्मीद है। Hyundai CEO José Muñoz ने कहा कि Genesis India में “diverse powertrains” के साथ आएगी — यानी EV और hybrid options भी आ सकते हैं। Genesis के lineup में already EVs हैं और EREV व hybrid models भी आने वाले हैं।

CKD Assembly — Pricing Competitive रहेगी
Genesis models South Korea से CKD kits के रूप में import होंगी और India में assemble होंगी। इसका मतलब — fully imported CBU की तुलना में pricing काफी competitive होगी। BMW, Mercedes और Audi को जो premium लगता है वो Genesis में कम हो सकती है। यह buyers के लिए अच्छी बात है।
Genesis का India में क्या Role होगा?
Muñoz ने कहा कि शुरुआत में Genesis एक niche brand होगी। Volume बड़ा नहीं होगा। लेकिन brand image के लिए यह बेहद important है। एक luxury brand होना Hyundai को investors के बीच भी ज्यादा credibility देता है — खासकर Hyundai Motor India Limited के shareholders के लिए। 2032 तक volume significantly grow करने का plan है।

Genesis का Future — और भी बड़ा होगा Portfolio 
Genesis अभी भी expand हो रहा है। GV90 नाम का full-size SUV जल्द आएगा। Mercedes-Maybach जैसा ultra-premium variant भी planned है — coach doors और elevated sophistication के साथ। दो grand tourers यानी coupe और cabriolet भी under consideration हैं। एक off-road SUV भी pipeline में हो सकती है।
क्या यह BMW और Mercedes को hurt करेगी?
सच कहें तो शुरुआत में नहीं। Genesis को brand recognition build करने में समय लगेगा। लेकिन Korean build quality, competitive pricing और diverse powertrain options — यह तीन factors हैं जो लंबे समय में Genesis को एक serious player बना सकते हैं।
याद कीजिए — 10 साल पहले Hyundai को premium brand नहीं माना जाता था। आज Creta और Verna market leaders हैं। Genesis के साथ भी यही हो सकता है — बस थोड़ा समय चाहिए।
