MG Motor India की आने वाली तीन-row electric SUV Hector Tomahawk EV पहली बार बिना camouflage के दिखाई दी है। सात-सीटर यह नई electric SUV 26 August 2026 को भारत में debut करने वाली है और कंपनी के लिए कई मायनों में महत्वपूर्ण product होगी।
Tomahawk भारत में MG के नए ADAPT architecture पर आधारित पहला model होगा। इसके अलावा कंपनी आगे चलकर इसी SUV पर आधारित plug-in hybrid version भी ला सकती है।
नई तस्वीरों में SUV का production-ready design काफी हद तक साफ दिखाई देता है। इसका overall stance काफी upright है और मौजूदा Hector से इसका visual identity काफी अलग नजर आती है।
Design में क्या खास मिलेगा?
Uncamouflaged prototype में सामने की तरफ wide closed-off grille treatment दिखाई देता है। इसके दोनों तरफ slim lighting elements और नीचे काफी बड़ा bumper दिया गया है।
Side profile में लंबा wheelbase, बड़ा rear-quarter glass और tall roofline साफ दिखाई देते हैं। ये proportions तीन-row cabin के लिए पर्याप्त interior space का संकेत देते हैं।
पीछे की तरफ SUV को relatively square profile दिया गया है। Vertical lighting elements, बड़ा tailgate और upright rear section इसे मौजूदा Hector से अलग पहचान देते हैं।
International-market Wuling Starlight 560 की लंबाई 4,745 mm और wheelbase 2,810 mm है। India-spec Tomahawk का footprint भी इसी के आसपास रहने की उम्मीद है।
7-Seater Cabin होगा बड़ा Highlight
MG के teasers पहले ही Tomahawk के cabin की कुछ झलक दिखा चुके हैं।
SUV में light-coloured interior theme, बड़ा touchscreen infotainment system और panoramic sunroof मिलने की उम्मीद है। इसके अलावा equipment list में ये features शामिल हो सकते हैं:
- Digital instrument cluster
- Connected-car technology
- Wireless smartphone connectivity
- Wireless charging
- Powered front seats
- Ventilated seats
- Rear AC vents
- Multiple charging ports
- Panoramic sunroof
तीन-row layout के कारण Tomahawk का मुख्य focus बड़े परिवारों के लिए space और practicality पर रहेगा।
ADAPT Platform क्यों है महत्वपूर्ण?
Hector Tomahawk भारत में ADAPT (Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology) architecture इस्तेमाल करने वाला पहला MG model होगा।
यह platform अलग-अलग electrified powertrains को support करने के लिए तैयार किया गया है। इसलिए Tomahawk सिर्फ EV तक सीमित नहीं रहेगा।
MG भविष्य में इसके plug-in hybrid version को भी introduce कर सकती है, जिसके इसी financial year के अंत से पहले आने की संभावना बताई जा रही है।
Battery और Range कितनी होगी?
International Wuling Starlight 560 EV में 69.2 kWh LFP battery के साथ front-mounted electric motor मिलता है।
यह setup लगभग 201 hp और 310 Nm produce करता है और overseas CLTC cycle में करीब 530 km की claimed range देता है।
हालांकि India-spec Tomahawk के final battery और motor specifications अभी officially सामने नहीं आए हैं। कुछ reports में 56.7 kWh battery का भी उल्लेख किया गया है, इसलिए final specifications launch के समय ही confirm होंगे।
MG ने SUV की pre-bookings भी शुरू कर दी हैं। Customers Rs. 21,000 refundable token amount देकर इसे reserve कर सकते हैं।
Expected Price और Rivals
MG Hector Tomahawk EV की expected कीमत लगभग Rs. 25 lakh से Rs. 30 lakh (ex-showroom) के बीच हो सकती है।
भारत में इसका मुकाबला मुख्य रूप से:
- Mahindra XEV 9S
- Upcoming Tata Safari EV
जैसी बड़ी electric SUVs से होगा।
तीन-row seating, लंबा wheelbase और EV powertrain Tomahawk को family-focused electric SUV के रूप में अलग पहचान दे सकते हैं।
26 August को launch के बाद इसकी battery capacity, exact range, power output और variant-wise features की तस्वीर पूरी तरह साफ हो जाएगी।
