April 2026 EV Car Sales — Tata अभी भी King है, लेकिन Kia की 905% Growth ने सबकी आंखें खोल दीं : April 2026 में India में 23,240 electric passenger vehicles बिकीं। Top 3 — Tata, Mahindra और MG — ने मिलकर इसका बड़ा हिस्सा ले लिया। लेकिन headlines में जो नाम सबसे ज्यादा चमका वो था Kia — 905.9% की YoY growth! और Vinfast का MoM performance भी काफी interesting रहा।
Tata Motors — 8,543 Units, 77.2% YoY Growth 
Tata पहले नंबर पर — 8,543 units। March से 3.5% ज्यादा और पिछले साल April से 77.2% ज्यादा। 5 models — Tiago EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV और Harrier EV — यह breadth कोई competitor नहीं match कर पाता अभी।
Mahindra — 5,413 Units, 64% YoY Growth
Mahindra दूसरे नंबर पर — 5,413 units, 64% YoY growth। BE 6, XEV 9e और XEV 9S की INGLO platform based lineup ने यह performance drive किया। Sequential भी 3.2% की growth।
JSW MG Motor — 5,006 Units, Consistent
5,006 units — March से थोड़ा नीचे लेकिन YoY 32.5% ऊपर। Windsor EV का contribution सबसे ज्यादा है। MG अपनी position consistently hold कर रहा है।

Vinfast — 1,232 Units, 78.3% MoM Jump!
Vinfast ने March के 691 से April में 1,232 units — 78.3% की MoM growth! यह month का सबसे impressive sequential jump था। Vietnamese brand धीरे-धीरे India में foothold बना रही है।
Maruti e Vitara — 1,231 Units, पहले साल में Solid Start 
1,231 units — Vinfast से सिर्फ 1 unit कम! e Vitara 49 kWh और 61 kWh battery options के साथ — 543 km claimed range। Maruti की पहली EV पहले ही साल में top 5 में आ रही है — यह encouraging sign है।
Hyundai — 516 Units, 30.9% YoY नीचे
Creta Electric के साथ Hyundai 516 units पर। YoY 30.9% नीचे — लेकिन MoM 8.4% ऊपर। Hyundai की Compact EV HE1i आने पर numbers बदलेंगे।
Kia — 342 Units, 905.9% की Astronomical Growth!
342 units — number छोटा है लेकिन growth देखिए — 905.9% YoY! Carens Clavis EV की availability ने यह jump drive किया। Base numbers बहुत कम थे पिछले साल — इसलिए percentage इतना बड़ा दिखता है। लेकिन फिर भी यह Kia के EV journey की positive शुरुआत है।

Luxury End — BMW, Mercedes, Tesla और Volvo
BMW ने 300 units बेचे — 108% YoY growth! Mercedes-Benz 104 units पर। Tesla 43 और Volvo 41 units। Luxury EV market छोटा है लेकिन growing है।
