नया Subframe और Cost-Effective Engineering 
Bonneville 400 Speed 400 और Tracker 400 से visually एकदम अलग दिखती है क्योंकि इसमें नया subframe setup है। Monoshock की जगह twin rear shocks देने का फैसला न सिर्फ retro aesthetics के लिए सही है बल्कि development cost भी कम करता है — जिससे aggressive pricing संभव होती है। Fuel tank भी मौजूदा 400cc models के 13 लीटर से बड़ा हो सकता है।
इंजन और Performance
Bonneville 400 में वही 349cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder इंजन होगा जो Speed T4 में है। यह 29 PS maximum power और 31 Nm peak torque देता है। 6-speed transmission के साथ slipper और assist clutch standard मिल सकता है। Dual-channel ABS भी होगा।
